About Me
My name is Kylie Fitzgibbon and I am a qualified Reflexologist (Diploma of Reflexology ASSR, registered member of the Reflexology Association of Australia) and Reiki Therapist. My past occupation is that of a Registered Nurse (RN Division 1) with experience in medical and surgical nursing.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a holistic therapy which works on the principle that there are reflex areas or points on the feet, hands and face that correspond to the organs, glands and parts of the body. Specialised massage of these reflexes improve circulation and thus energy flow to the immediate reflexes and corresponding body parts. Many disease processes are in part attributable to stress and tension. A reflexology treatment produces a deep state of relaxation that eases tension in the body and thus relaxes pressure on nerves and vessels promoting their optimal function. Reflexology aims to enable the body to achieve balance.
Treatments
Reflexology is a gentle and non invasive modality requiring at most the removal of shoes and socks. During a consultation, a confidential client history will be taken to ensure the treatment is tailored to the client's needs. The emphasis at Ananda Reflexology is to ensure client comfort and to provide a deeply relaxing session. Reflexology is appropriate for pregnant women, children and the elderly. Reflexology has been proven to be beneficial by:
- Reducing stress and easing tension
- Enhancing sleep quality
- Improving lymphatic and circulatory function
- Improving the detoxification processes of the body
- Balancing all body systems
It may also be helpful in hormonal regulation and in the treatment of many ailments including musculoskeletal issues, anxiety & depression, headaches & migraines, chronic pain and digestive issues.
Reiki
Reiki is a form of energy healing which is implemented by "universal energy" being passed through the palms of the practitioner to the person receiving treatment.
It is thought the energy intuitively travels to where it is most needed within the body providing comfort both physically and mentally.
It is an extremely relaxing modality and works beautifully in conjunction with the benefits of Reflexology. These two therapies are combined together in my treatments.
Services
For an initial consultation and treatment please allow 1.5 hours ($85). Subsequent consultations will consist of a 15 minute assessment followed by a 45 minute treatment ($75). Gift Vouchers available
